Chronograph design idea! Thoughts?

I was thinking about where the pushers are on chronograph watches. I get the design comes from handheld pocket watches, but since they're on the wrist now I think the location could be changed to improve the use of the pushers.

What if one pusher remained at 2, and then the other moved to 8? That way we can use it quicker with your thumb and index finger.

Thoughts? Let me know chronograph users!

Off the top of my head, the Santos De Cartier Chronograph XL has a 9 and 3 trigger which is kinda what you were thinking.

Agree there's room for more chronograph layouts that are more intuitive.

That sounds like a decent idea. My thumb would naturally go to 8, so that's start/stop. I don't think it matters too much where the reset goes, though I'd not put it at 2 since that's where my index would rest, so you could end up pushing both at the same time.

Timex did on a quartz alarm watch in the early 2000's.

The reworking of a mechanical watch movement to accommodate this probably isn't worth it.
