The urge to purge

The last couple days I've been thinking about selling off several of the watches I have and simplify. I'm sure others have had this urge did you follow through? And if you did do you regret it?

If there worth selling they are worth keeping. If you're just simplifying your collection and don't need the money (to buy more watches) why not just store them. In a few years you could be very glad you did 🤔

Yes, many times. Not regretted it . Consolidation is way to go for me 👍🏻

100% percent. I put watches that I don't wear often in the safe, and months later... Presto.

I have sold quite a few watches in the last year. I did not miss any. No regrets.

I've only found this true with ex wives. 😉

I purged my vintage collection. I went from almost 100 to about a dozen. It was cathartic. Even though there were some great pieces that got culled, it’s like a weight that’s been lifted.

Most of my watches were given or gifted so purging my collection will only make it go from 18 or so to 14 or so 🫠🫠🫠

What do you do with watches you were gifted and know for sure they won’t see much wrist time if any?

I've only been gifted two watches and one of them is one of my most worn watches.

I'm thinking I could cut down to 5 or 6 purchased watches and a few custom builds.

Haven't sold any, and have no intention of doing so. My collection is not large anyway, to begin with...hehe.
