$250 substitute for GS SBGW 281, what do you think?

I think my next watch will be a Grand Seiko. I love the SBGW (https://www.grand-seiko.com/us-en/collections/sbgw281g) series, manual wind automatics. On the wrist they feel amazing. I’d love to get a spring drive but this felt great when I tried it on. I’m not liking the “splash resistance” WR and fear I would be careless and damage the watch.

It will be just one stab at GS (I’m down to my last 3 watches), so have to make good choices. What do you think about this Orient taking its place? The only thing is that it’s not manual wind. Anyone know of a Bambino with manual wind?

While nice looking, I’d save and go for the GS, it looks amazing. Cheers.

I don’t like that date. But if you’re looking to save money looks good.

I think all Bambinos, generations and versions, are Automatic

The Bambino may be a gateway drug, but it ain't no substitute...

For whatever reason, I'm immune to Bambinos.
