I've got the red dial Oris, and it's a beauty. I kinda wish I'd held off on buying it though, as I'm eyeing the green dial bronze beauty now. I know exactly what your talking about though, as I'm currently saving for either a Rolex Explorer or BB58.

I recently purchased the Tag Heuer Carrera Twin Time Calibre 7 with the blue dial on steel, and it's an exquisite piece! I really don't understand the hate Tag gets between the Monaco, Carrera, Autavia, and Aquaracer lines they have a ton of great offerings. The msrp on the Carrera I purchased is $3,650 which is a tad bit high, but I was able to get it much cheaper through the grey market. I'd say $3k even would be a fair price for the Twin Time on steel, and I paid significantly less then that. The watch looks the part, and the movement inside keeps great Time (its been running pretty spot on for the last week), and the bracelet is one of my most comfortable. I could have gotten a Tudor BB36 on a strap for the same price, but on the steel it would have been quite a bit more then the Tag. While Tudor, and Omega are my two favorite brands by a large margin, the Tag gets more wrist time then both my Speedy Racing Reverse Panda, and my Tudor 1926 2-Tone 39mm white dial. I don't see myself necessarily buying anymore Tags, however the one I do have will likely stay in my collection for a long while!

I've been on the fence about this watch ever since I first saw it. I think it's a good design, albeit a bit of a homage, but priced nicely. I just got a Speedy Racing, and have fallen heads over heels for it. That being said I have probably spoiled myself a bit to much, and wouldn't buy at this price range anymore. I've got plenty of comparable movements to this watch so it would be a bit redundant. So at this point my only reason to buy this watch would be for the case design seeing as I have a Ball Fireman Victory with a Clous De Paris dial that is very similar to the dial on this piece. I would however possibly be interested in the PRX Chrono with the 18k gold bezel, but with the Speedy I'm kinda covered on chronos. If I were still at the beginning of my watch collecting days the PRX would be a no Brainer, however where I currently stand this watch is not for me. That all being said it's a very nice watch with an interesting albeit done before design that has a great power reserve, and a fantastic Swiss workhorse movement.

Take your time save up, and buy something you'll really love. I'd also advise to go to plenty of stores, and try on and ask questions about as many pieces as you can. Don't be like me, and buy mainly from online grey market dealers without handling the watch first.

I was about to get that watch it's got a fantastic movement! I went with a Speedy Racing reverse panda instead, Watchmaxx had it for 33% off with no tax so I couldn't pass it up. I think I'll have to make the Longines Master Collection Moonphase my first Longines instead.
