Things are getting serious in the #1WC
I mentioned to @Aurelian yesterday that due to a conflict of interests with me running the photography challenge (which is a temporary home of the #1WC) I would bow out at the next challenge he set, which was yesterdays orders to put our chances of winning in our WRUW post.
I have been lucky enough to have some amazing comrades who have had my back on a couple of occasions, and without them I would have been out well before now anyway.
However, like the Hunger Games, there can be only one winner, and I said to Aurelian that I would be interested to see if anyone warned me about my missed post yesterday.
It was very enlightening to see who warned me and who didn't.
It shows that things are getting serious.
To those who have helped me, I will return the favour to each of you if I can.

Oddly enough, since you are just posting the Photography Club thread, and other people are setting the weekly theme, I don’t see this as too much of a conflict of interests. As I understand it, you’re not actually judging anything.

Ignoring the time of when it is posted, she knows the judges before we do and as such would, at least in theory, have a way of obtaining the weekly theme before the rest, or even make (subtle) suggestions. Not saying she does, the judges themselves don't seem to know the theme at the time the post goes online, but it would be in her interest to do so if she wants to win #1WC? Is that not a conflict of interest?

I do know the judges ahead of time, but very rarely the theme.
The real sticky point would be the fact that I can just set the theme myself if I chose... or shut the thread early or late to suit me.

Except that the timing of it seems to be fairly consistent and not an issue.

Oh you are...but I have too much respect for you as a competitor. Like, it's like saying Superman needs someone to make sure they're safe at the playground. It's just an absurd statement.
I'm so self centered that it never occurred to me to check on whether other people were in compliance.
I missed seeing Greg’s (still haven’t seen) new rule about adding chances of winning in yesterday WRUW. I only added because I saw others doing so. Just noticed the GS dial thing too. I see now the rule change posts are obscured enough such that I’m just now skating by on luck. Cheers Kaysia. Thanks for keeping it fun.
