British Watchmakers' Day: Let's guess how shameless the Brits will be...
With less than a week to go till the British Watchmakers' Day event it's all getting pretty exciting over in Instagram.
The British Watchmakers Alliance have been dropping pics of some of the watches which are going to be available exclusively for purchase at the event, with limited runs which seem to range from 300 pieces down to one solitary piece!
Here are a few screen grabs of some of the limited editions I took from insta...
...and the one I'm very excited to have a look at is an emergency exit styled watch from the firefighter influenced brand William Wood.

I already have one watch on preorder at the moment, so I'm honestly not in the market to pick up anything else next Sunday 😬, but with so many limited editions up for grabs I'm wondering what level of chaos is going to ensue at the start of the day.
It's a ticketed event, so I can't see it reaching Swatch style levels of evening before queuing... but.... maybe if there are enough people out there desperate enough for one of these watches, or thinking they could flip it for enough money.... perhaps there will be???
I think at least one of the companies is operating a lottery system for people wanting to buy, but I don't think all of them are.
Anyway, what are your predictions for next Saturday??

Me personally, I have little shame... I'm not above doing a Swatch style camp out for a watch, and there are definitely watches out there I would Truffle Shuffle for, but I'm not sure anything on offer so far next weekend is tempting me that much.
Who else is going?? I can't wait to meet fellow Crunchers again! What time are you getting there?... And can you save me a spot in the queue?!!! 😁

I agree on the @Clemence_Watches one looking lush, but the white Munro is currently the preorder I'm waiting for... so I'm not sure I can justify getting this one too 🫣

I recently got myself a 36.5mm watch and I love everything about it except its a tad bit small 😁

I’m defo excited, can’t wait I want to see the Roger Smith watch sell, I think that it might go north of £500k. Looking forward to seeing the Union Jack Bel Cantos (I will be wearing mine😁) and the rest of the CW stand, also Farer (I’m close to pulling the trigger on a red Super Compressor and a world timer 😬 THEN there is the Duckworths which out of all of the watches has something unique. Going to be a good day. Followed by: beer-food-comedy club and…..beer 😂

I get in to St. Pancras at 8:45am, with a 6:40am start at Derby.
