I Found a Forgotten Watch!

I was moving stuff around on the shelving in my garage tonight and thought I would rifle through one of my footlockers for a little nostalgia. I’m glad I did, because there in the bottom of the dusty locker lay my long forgotten Fossil TM-7260…packed neatly in its tin. I opened the tin to reveal a very dapper retro style watch! I quickly opened the caseback and swapped the dead 377 battery with a new one into the Epson movement and the old boy sprang to life!

The diameter is about 36.5mm and the lug to lug is about 43mm. It‘s not a big watch to be sure…but is totally doable on my 7.25 inch wrist.

I‘m over the moon with this discovery! I remember I bought it about 1993 in Sedona AZ while shopping with a girl from Baton Rouge I was dating at the time. I only wore it a few times, so it looks like new! Do you have a forgotten watch in your collection you put away for years and then found again? Do you feel lucky like me?

I remember because of my girlfriend at the time. She was from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, so we drove a bit South to Sedona so I could blow her mind with the vastly different geography she was used to. I remember her helping me pick it out. Plus it always helps to score points with the ladies that way.
