Le Boulevardier by 47ZERO

Le Boulevardier is the name of a cocktail invented in 1927 by Harry McElhone, owner of Harry’s New York Bar in Paris, .

Essentially an Americanized version of the Negroni, the Boulevardier represents the wild abandon of the prohibition era with it's accent above all else on style.

It very much sums up how we feel about our latest creation, so why not celebrate and join the party!

Bourbon 3cl, Campari 3cl, Red vermouth 3cl. Place a large ice cube in your old fashioned glass, pour the bourbon, Campari and red vermouth. Stir for about 10 seconds. Decorate your glass with a slice or zest of orange.

Awesome share! Gorgeous piece.

That actually looks clean

Really nice watch, thanks for sharing. I'm thinking I might get a French watch this year

·

Lovely. Could you share a lum shot of your watch?

Hi Marquis,

On this model only the hands have lume.

Wow, an amazingly original design. I don't really get those 2 screws, but they don't bother me much either.

Thanks. The two screws are kind of my signature. They hold the dial to the movement. I rather have them integrated as a feature that hid them as hidden dial feet. To me they are the link between the watchmaker and watch designer and are a detail to celebrate, also their asymmetry throws up welcome challenges to keep busy!

·

I've never seen that before. That's really cool. I wish I could snag that dial somewhere.

·

Well that is super cool!

Very nice design and concept, love the hands, something hard to see on new watches.

Yeah beautiful watch, those two bolts got me too, not an issue seriously, adds to the character "vive la différence." OK just saw your explanation, makes sense I applaud it, my wife always says "by design," she is usually right. Because of the apparent purity and simplicity of design I guess it does need something to contrast, off set that. Cormac well done being brave enough to be different! Adds a unique signature to the piece.

Lovely

I absolutely love the surgical geometry of this watch. This is what I love about this community, I discover a new brand every day.

I like the two bolts, they add some interest. Asymmetry done right. Symmetry is overrated.

There's no need to modify the movement for this small seconds, just chop off the end of a standard seconds hand.
