GP Laureato

I saw the recent Worn and Wound video on the Laureato and had to share - because as the video title says, "this steel sports watch SHOULD be on your radar!"

this steel sports watch SHOULD be on your radar!

I love the Royal Oak... not so much the Nautilus ... but this watch is giving them both a run for their money. Maybe in person the finishing of the RO would win me over, but on my tiny computer screen...damn this watch is fine!

What do you all think?

Way out of my budget but both great watches the GP and Patek

I think Maurice Lacroix makes a decent budget option. Including those who like quartz.

Thank you for adding the Maurice Lacroix Aikon to the discussion. I tried on a couple at Windup and absolutely love them! They seem to offer tremendous bang for the buck. A little big for me - at least the ones I tried on - but very attractive watches.

LOL same. I was getting ready to check out at a large AD here in LA. someone tried it on and the sales person left the leather and gold and the blue on steel. I was like ok I was not expecting my heart to skip a beat lol. They also have a 39mm

I love the bronze dial, great looking watch

So I agree I love this line and it's design but it never enters the conversation of the other watches in its category and gets viewed to harshly. But for me I think I've recently switched to choosing the new blue Ingenieur over it. But that GP Absolute Gold Fever well thats a gotta have for me!

Anytime I've talked to someone who's actually handled one of the new Ingenieurs, they've loved it. I think I'm going to need to see one in the metal before I make any judgments. Have you handled one?

I have not but I'm close to just pulling the trigger and getting one. I don't have an AD close enough to try one on, but I think it's worth it.

GP is a quality brand and are proper under rated. if you can afford the coin, definitely worth a serious look

As a fan of the integrated bracelet sports watch in general, I went with the Zenith flavored version - I was a fan of Zenith for the hi beat el primero and the 12 sided bezel looked right to me. I wanted a APRO but not anymore. 😂
