CHRONO FOR EVERY OCASION - ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Good morning, everyone! I've been on a hunt for a while to find a discreet chronograph that can be worn elegantly on any occasion without attracting too much attention. In my opinion, this Zenith El Primero fits the bill perfectly, looking fantastic on any strap for various events. Today, I have it on the sporty everyday strap, but it’s equally stunning on high-gloss crocodile straps. I’d love to hear if you have any other recommendations or suggestions!

I think the search is over I can’t think of anything that fits your requirements sinn make some nice chronos but they are not as elegant as that zenith breitling are making some very nice vintage inspired chronos that are worth a look but again perhaps a little more unrestrained than the zenith.

Love chronos, hate their size/thickness. Enter Zenith, nailing this problem. My grail is the reverse panda Chronomaster Original in 38mm. Your El Primero is looking spectacular. Enjoy!

I’m extremely happy with it. Another few that I have considered are Longines Record Chronograph and Glashutte Original Senator. Both in 40mm.

To be more precise, I went and measured it. It’s actually 12 with the domed christal. The case is 10mm thick without the glass. Ref REF 03.0510.4002/21.C492. It is the thinnest chrono I own.

I think you nailed it. As being discreet the chrono should not be more than 11 mm thick and in the current market this is very hard to find. If you look at vintage there are quite a few, that are under these dimensions all being manual. As newer watches go if you have the budget Vacheron got you covered.

Thank you. No matter the budget I would never spend more than 15k on a watch. Especially now when there is so many options out there. I’m firm on that.
Nailed it - if you want a Chrono and the El Primero is within budget, you simply can't beat it.
Second option could be a Speedie, both have great history but the Zenith has that something special. It is certainly discreet, any non watchie won't know what it is, and that is kinda cool, not ostentatious like some other Chrono's.
