I went with the Sharp Edge because I don’t have one and the other Seiko is one of like a billion Seiko divers. There’s nothing wrong with it, I just think there are too many versions of every Seiko dive watch. And I have a PRX.
To me this is a choice between the PRX and the SE. besides already having a PRX, I’d say I think the SE might be a little more versatile. There’s something about the PRX that reads “sporty” to me and because of the case/bracelet, I don’t think you can really change that. I’m guessing you can get different vibes from the SE if you put it on different straps.
The PRX is nice, but the integrated bracelet makes the watch less versatile to me.
The Land Turtle is more of a gimmick. If you think I don't really need a dive bezel, then let me tell you just how much I really don't need a compass bezel. Even on a superficial level I find the markings of a dive bezel more aesthetic.
Elimination method: PRX is not my style and Tortoises are basically just worse Turtles. Too much bulk for low utility. You only buy a Tortoise if you prefer the looks.
That leaves the Sharp Edge, and it is indeed sharp. 👌
This is all personal preference as all 3 are definitely unique.
The land tortoise takes the best of the turtle and makes it worse with a compass bezel. If you want a field watch go Alpinist.
After that it’s a matter of which dial and size you like better between the two dressier watches. 35 vs 39. Integrated bracelet vs one that can’t be switched out.
Picked the Land Tortoise. It’s one of my favorite case shapes (gotta love a cushion) in a smaller 42mm package (if I remember correctly) and it’s exactly what it’s expected to be. The SPB227 is very nice, but I’d most likely exchange it for a King Seiko a day later. And the Tissot is just so abundant that it turns me off (very nice piece though, nothing bad to say about it). I feel like the PRX is an amazing piece for people entering into the hobby, but it doesn’t have the petigree or staying power of the Turtle (or Tortoise rather 😅).
Sharp Edge is the one I would pick, red is also somewhat unique since dials in that colour are not too common. You will love that textured dial and angular case. Not a fan of the PRX personally. Now if the options included a Tissot Gentleman that would be a different story.

Yeah the Tissot gentleman in ice blue is heavenly, but too big for my baby wrist xD

I would go for the Presage.

Nice n simple from me…… I’m in the market for a red dial at the mo 👍🏻

Either Seiko.
PRX has a plastic escapement and integrated bracelet so either of those would put me off, let alone both on one watch.
My preference is for the Tortoise, very comfortable with good wrist presence without being too bulky
The other is more formal, but that dial is beautiful!!
For the same money I bought a used Willard from eBay (£500), so that's my choice. Buy used 👍🏻
Presage Sharp Edge because I'm not into the integrated bracelet thing and I don't need another watch with a rotating bezel.

Great job on the Willard for that price 👏🏻🤝

Very good deal mate!💸 I also have an sla063j1(which is a part of the willard series or close related to it?) so I have a watch in this direction🙏

Ooo an SLA063 😍 Beautiful ❤️
The Seiko. I want a different PRX and don’t have a strong desire for a Seiko dive watch. I like red watches
