Return of The Skipper!
Sorry I don’t have the new image to show as it’s still under wraps, but I was at the TAG Heuer boutique today and got to see an image of it on my salesperson’s phone.
Of course, I instantly pre-paid for one.
If you are a fan of The Skipper you will not be disappointed. It looks absolutely amazing!!
I would recommend getting to the boutique and get one pre-ordered as these will likely sellout fast.
It hits in mid-July…

Price with tax was just under $7,300...not crazy for a Carrera
She also showed me a very cool limited edition Monaco that will be released...it was priced just under $10k...with original Heuer logo (not TAG Heuer) and crown on the left like the original, but with a case made from titanium, silver dial with blue hands and a yellow chronograph hand on a gorgeous blue leather rally strap. Still thinking about that one...but I have a couple of Monacos already and not sure it makes sense to add another one.

But I also have this one...

Love the Monaco… such a distinctive design. Both great looking watches - who doesn’t love the classic Gulf logo/colors.

Reminds me: the new Tissot Sideral ‘yacht timer’ has NO TIMER FUNCTION and no way to countdown like you’d need. 🙄.
it looks nice at a glance but the fact Tissot calls it ‘yacht timer’ drives me crazy. Like a speedmaster chronograph that lacks all its second hands

TAG Heuer uses Heuer branding on certain vintage reissues. I’m not sure I understand the logic of when it’s used.
For example, my Dark Lord reissue uses TAG Heuer…sadly as I would have preferred Heuer
However, my Gulf Monaco reissue uses Heuer and also has the crown on the left like the original Monaco
The new Monaco reissue that is coming has both the classic Heuer logo and the crown on the left and will be in a titanium case
