Fun at Intersect today!

Attended the cool microbrand event today...Intersect in Long Beach, CA hosted by Nodus and Jack Mason.

The event was fun and loads of cool watches to dazzle the eyes.

I wore my Astor + Banks Fortitude together with my MIIK Tornek-Rayville TR-660 and visited both the A+B and TR booths to represent.

There was also a fantastic table with vintage watches where I could have done some serious damage to my bank account. I restrained myself and came away with just one cool watch...which I will feature on tomorrow's WRUW (hint: it's another cool regatta chronograph...of course).

While there, I met up with @FlatteryCamp Jack and his lovely wife Rebecca together with @Half_Life Vivek. We had a wonderful time talking watches and it was a pleasure to get to see some more fellow Crunchers IRL.

Afterwards, my wife and I went to an amazing meal at a Mediterranean restaurant and met another really cool young watch collector who had attended the event. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed the great food and wonderful conversations about watches (he was wearing a beautiful Zenith Defy Skyline).

I wish I could have been there! Unfortunately, family duties today. Sounds like an awesome meetup!

Likewise...pleasure hanging with you Vivek.

May you achieve your dream of an Omega Snoopy in the near future.

Looks like an awesome time. I will get to the west coast for a meet up next year.

It was Per...so nice to meet fellow Crunchers in a nice venue.

Couldn't make it due to flu... hope the event organizer shares notice of this event again next year. Looks fun!

Oh man, mistimed my trip by a week! No, maybe not, GS9 was pretty epic. Well, I should have stayed an extra several days I guess! Bah - work! 😒

Looks like fun, and a baller nice restaurant afterwards. @FlatteryCamp is pure class (and don't ever let anyone tell you any different Jack!) and I would have loved to have joined you for lunch.

BTW - Skyline Defy is one of my favorite watches and I have no idea which one I like best or if I can successfully pull off on a 6 wrist. Someday will def add a defy to my quiver.

Looking forward to seeing the NWA my friend!

I met Matt for the first time back in 2012 when I had recently retired from racing. I don't remember what watch he wore, but it was something nice. He did confirm he still has the jacket in this photo of the two of us, lol.

He was hilarious at the GS9 event - guess he likes GS watches as well. I've got a few car guy friends I've got to ask if they know him. Cool you could catch up 👌
