Why do you dislike a cyclops?
That little piece of optics generates quite a few opinions. Some are big, some are small, some are on top, some under the crystal. Circular, oblong-ish, whatever.
What aspect of a cyclops do you dislike most?

One of the reasons I so dislike Rolex...no cyclops for me...
I'm the opposite! I was neutral towards them buy since I now need reading glasses with advancing years I find it useful. Here's mine

I have a memory, and many beautiful dials are utterly ruined by the date.
Wish companies would release versions with both options, I'm sure they'd sell more in total.

Microbrands do that - Lorier and Traska come to mind. Otherwise, it complicates things, making the overall product more expensive. No wonder brands streamline...
I have a memory too, but watches exist to aid us, that's why they can have all those complications and functions.

I'm poor and no longer have a watch with them. They denote superior watches and I am envious.

The day/date magnifier is truly a pinnacle of human achievement. I totally don't care about co-axial escapements or tourbillon or spring drive. This is impressive and desirable.
