Black or Blue?

Please sort out a dispute between me and a watch strap seller on eBay. The guy is saying that he sent me a black strap - I say it's dark blue. Does this look black or dark blue to you? Am I going mad.... or colourblind?

It’s dark blue

Thanks for confirmation - thought I was going mad.

So you agree that it's blue, right? 😉

I know what you mean though.....

There is no perfect black, but this is not a matter of saturation. It's recognizably blue.

Oh my God I'm having flashbacks...

It's definitely blue though.

Blue for sure. But the tone is pleasant. Show us the watch you plan to fit it to.

I hate to be the lone sane person here... but it's black

It's all a perception of our own realities lol

I would move on and find someone  reputable and leave a kind one 🌟  rating he deserves.

Best and hope it works out. I do see blue lol

Cheers!

In agreement with @OscarKlosoff in that there is no true black short of a vantablack. Black can run the spectrum and, to me, you and the seller could be right at the same time.

Apologies in advance, as this is not meant to be insulting, but it does not appear to be an expensive strap and I bet they manufactured it with every intention of it being black, but under the right light, or a lot of light, the pigment they used can appear blue. When I was first starting out, I would order straps on ebay and amazon and the colors were never accurate. I'd order oxblood and get solid brown strap. These days, I largely stick to Etsy. Some great customer strap makers out there at all price points.
