How reliable is Chrono24?

Does anyone have any experience buying from Chrono24? Is it rich with scams?

What I do is click on the sellers profile and do a seperate search on them , check out their insta, website etc.. sometimes even talk to them on whatsapp off of Chrono, which I get MUCH better deals because chrono takes a decent precentage off of sellers.

I recommend doing a background check just like I did.

Well I never bought personally but I know some people and havend heard anything bad. I think as long as you stick to the authorized dealers you shouldn't run into much issues.

On the other hand I would be careful buying from private persons, in the end it's just a selling platform like many others.

I've bought from them twice with zero issues whatsoever. I always buy from dealers as opposed to private sellers as you get the 14-day return guarantee. If the watch doesn't seem right or you do t like it, send it back.

Solid grey market option imho.

No issues, look at seller rating and feedback and you should be good. If private seller I rate on how much effort they take in photos and describing product and any scratches, etc - if it's really just cut and paste and poor/stock photos, stear clear.

I've bought a few and know some guys that did to, always everything went fine.

·

I've purchased from dealers and individuals, many times. All has gone well. I think the advice given by others above is good to read (for me too).

·

I've purchased a couple. Went well with thorough communication. But as soon as you get the watch, get it authenticated immediately.

·

I've purchased from them twice so far, and both have been positive experiences.

Bought 4 watches from Chrono24, between 120€ and 1600€. Never had an issue. Sold 2 watches over the platform and everything went smoothly as well.

I just received this Alpinist that I purchased from a dealer in Japan (I added the bracelet from Strapcode).

The transaction could not have been smoother. Excellent communication and fast shipping. Watch arrived in perfect condition with box and papers.

Love & Hate - Hate that some sellers are just looking for leads then procure the watch after you enquire (they are arguably fake advertising). Love that you get the watch before the seller is paid. Hate that you can get taxes in addition for buying from an overseas seller. Love that they have reviews on the sellers (if not private). I’ve negotiated with private sellers and dealers and have gone nowhere in the negotiations. If it doesn’t feel right (either or both information received &/or the price) then be prepared to walk. Have also had good experiences buying especially one private seller who was really fair on the price, had good history knowledge on the watch, sent extra straps and even a thank you card. To top it off, the watch was in even better condition then he had described.

I bought a watch from there about 2 months ago and had a good experience. Private seller, made an offer, he made a counter offer and I accepted. Didn’t even pay duties. All in all it was a good experience.
