Went window shopping for something subtle the other day
I knew that gold whet would be heavy, and I kinda had a weight in my mind as to what it might feel like, but it had a significant presence. It’s hard to describe… I knew but it’s like another thing to finally handle it. Granted this was the 40 mm, but still.
It has a very lovely, pool table green. I think this is the only 40 mm DD that I would go for. But idk if I could live with the weight.
The new black and gray GMTs aren’t my favorite but the still like them and it just works, with the two tone looking the best of the new pair. I think I’m gonna have the money, I would also get this one.
It sucks that these are considered to be so loud. They’re very pleasing to look at, especially the Day Date.

I never expected to see one. If you live near an AD, you should check it out too see if they have one or ask to see when they get different stuff in. Like I said, it’s a nice watch to see in person.
It will only feel heavy at first. Platinum is even heavier, 281 grams for the Day Date with an extra link installed. After wearing it a few days the weight disappears.

So you've finally got hands on with a precious metal Rolex! Initially, it may feel quite heavy on the wrist, but after a few minutes, you barely notice the weight—it's certainly not like wearing a 5-pound dumbbell all day. 😆

I like it, too. I’m not a big fan of gold on grey here but it works and I wouldn’t change it. Imo it’s more fitting in TT than full gold. Dunno. These were just display models
