The Safari was born from the efforts of Lorier and TGV, who managed to get it right and design a watch that I like.
Lorier decided to stick to their philosophy and fit it with an acrylic, for which I'm very grateful because vintage looking watches are better with a vintage looking crystal.
It also makes it easier and simpler to take a quick shot with the camera when the sun is shinning directly on the table. Acrylic being optically clear and almost completely free of reflections is a boon for watch photography.
The Safari has a 36mm case, a fixed bezel and a 369 dial, but I can't see much else from the Explorer in its design, the copper sector dial is really setting it apart. This is a watch that really stands on its own and I'm very happy to own one since the production run was short and limited.

That is dope looking!!!
Love the hands, all three of them!
I love it. Wish I could've picked one up when they were available
Beautiful watch 😍 love the vintage railmaster, explorer look👌
That is gorgeous 😻
Nice 🔥im getting vintage rolex oyster bubble back case vibes 👌
This is an opinion, which I respect. My own opinion is that sapphire crystals are inferior to acrylic in every aspect that count except for improved scratch resistance.
Personally I don't mind acrylic at all, on the contrary. Lucky for us there are enough brands and choices to satisfy us both.
I really like their design choices. You're right, I think Explorer alternative isn't exactly accurate especially now that the Falcon exists but it is a nice blend of OG Alpinist and OG Explorer.
Hmmm .... I wonder why Omega puts a plastic (Hesalite) crystal on their $7,000 USD Speedmaster watch.
Yes, very nice and has you said; "production run was short and limited." Salmon dials seems to be coming back now. There are a few brands that offers Salmon dials today.
