“Oops I did it again” I should have said in the beginning of the sentence but I didn’t do anything wrong!
As you know i am a statistical father, currently working on saving as much money I can for the upcoming renovation of our new home, buying the furniture etc. Because of this I even sold nearly all of my collection apart from a watch that my wife gave me sometime ago. I had to sell my grail Tudor as well. It was heartbreaking experience and I think when she saw it she knew that I am serious to rise the money and I want to make a change in our life. The renovation will start in next couple of months so we do not even know what will be the prices of some stuff, so I wanted to be secure.
Also … she knows that I am an addict of collecting watches, so it was not strange that I was showing her the things I like. After the renovation we are going on a trip to Japan to celebrate the new home and also our second anniversary. The destination was picked by us together as we both love the culture, food and well … shopping. And Japan is known for the best experience in buying new and awesome things. I told her that when we will go to Japan I wish to buy something like a vintage Seiko or Orient as they are easier to get there in great condition. I even showed here couple of GS telling that this might be my new grail after the Tudor and maybe someday I will buy it.
What can I say more? She had a plan! Oh boy! I did not anticipate it! When I came back from walking our dog yesterday she told me that the was a DHl delivery and there is something in the box for me.
When I opened it I was in shock! She bought me this great looking vintage Grand Seiko! It came in great condition with boxes and a small origami from the seller and a note for me birthday later this month.
The only thing that concerns me is that she is a clever beast. You may ask why - well she knows that I can’t sell it as it’s a gift! 💝

Nice! It has the Seiko on top and GS on bottom. Indeed a vintage, as they are hard to find.
That is a nice gesture of your wife.. what a lovely lady.
Now that's a keeper right there... The wife I mean! And that gorgeous watch. Congratulations on both 😁 and Happy birthday! 🎉🎂
Congratulations. Sounds like you have a wonderful partner who knows you well. Enjoy.
Congratulations! Such a thoughtful wife! Gonna be hard to return the favor.
Beautiful
That's fantastic Aleksander! Such a great wifey!
We are about to do a bathroom reno - not a whole house - but I should be careful spending till that's out of the way. When I needed to reno our old 1908 built house several years ago, it cost over 200k before I ran out of money and had to stop. What a nutty city.
Reno prices in Vancouver BC are INSANE!
You'll love Japan, such a nice friendly place. It's our second home. I'd say get a GS there, but you will find deals on every brand you like.
