When A Watch Is Like An Old Friend
I wore this watch yesterday. Fell asleep with it on and woke up forgetting it was still there. It is that comfortable. And reliable, legible and even stylish with its lovely utilitarian, blue-dial panache. It cost me $33 USD on Amazon and is one of my favorite watches ever.
I remember when I bought it, I wanted something blue and readable. I saw this Casio MTP-V006D-2B and thought, "Oh well, only $33. Might as well try it." Not really impressed at purchase, but I find now that it perfectly fits and works in synch with me, like an old friend. Just want to share my appreciation for simple things that bring joy to everyday life. Do you have a watch like that?

This Bertucci A-2TS Classic Field Solar on a G-Type canvas strap is so light and comfortable on the wrist I almost forget it is on my wrist. It also has a classic field watch aesthetic coupled with impressive specs, meaning even if I do forget it is on my wrist, I don't have to worry about it getting damaged.
My Bulova Computron is pure nostalgia. It takes me back to my childhood, getting a red LED watch for Christmas in the '70s. It is also on a comfortable soft rubber strap.
My first watch was a Timex I got when I was a kid. This Expedition North Post Solar is a tough, set it and forget it, GADA field watch that is comfortable and nostalgic.

Solar watches are amazing, and set-and-forget is also perfect. Cool that you have good memories to go with your favs, that makes it even more special. 👍
Despite everything that's happened between me and the person who gifted this to me, this still feels like family.
Watches do have that special place it seems. A tool that works day after day without much fuss and reminds us of where we're at in our lives.
For me it's the one that's been with me since childhood...
I don't reach for it as much these days but it's still in the rotation. We've definitely been through a lot together.
