Nerd Question

I am not sure how the brand badges work. It says you need to post 25 insightful comments to the Hashtag account. How is that credited? Is that when I post a comment with the hashtag or when I respond to a comment that someone else has posted with a hashtag? Or am I overthinking it just like I do with every watch purchase? Do I get the hesalite crystal with or without the double dome. Polished or brushed lugs? To NATO or not to NATO? These (and others) are the questions that keep me up at night.

Excellent question. It might just get you the "Badge" badge.

I have no idea, but to answer your other questions.

Double dome

Brushed

NATO

Hi Case your comments need at least 20 words to count towards a badge and the person you are responding to needs to have included a hashtag in their post. 👍

·

The badges just kind appeared. Other then the wristy ones, I didn't think too hard about it

“Badges? We don’ need no stinking badges!”

(points for naming the movie)

It’s a bit baffling. I think it’s replies AND posts under the hashtag.

What bugs me is I can only see the dull badges that I didn’t work for.

Nah, I just have to say, old chum, that we diverge on the NATO issue. Although I honestly can’t rule out a change! After all, my tastes in this hobby have flown hither and thither. 😂

I am not a NATO fan, but I do like the two-piece canvas ones.

Hither and yonder?

Hither and thither is an old phrase meaning “here and there and all over the place in a disorganized way”. Akin to higgledy piggledy.

Treasure of the Sierra Madre. If you can bear to watch old movies, it’s a killer!

And for me it’s an old movie. But Bogart, John Huston (who also directed it) Walter Huston (John’s dad) are in it. Bogey is brilliant in it.

"Watch straps are nice for plebes, real enthusiasts NATO."

  • James Bond, probably

👀🤏🏻😂

Don't know who is defining insightful, since I'm pretty sure I've earned several badges via @Aurelian @Porthole and others by spam bombing a random thread with this monstrosity: #custodesspecial and/or other gifs. 👀🤏🏻😜

Those that should get it never do.

But there are those in the know who do.

Was thinking the line that was quoted was from the movie UHF. Close, but no.

Ultra high frequency - literally?
