Thrift score

Got that Citizen for 70 bucks and the Casio for 6 today. The Casio could use some polywatch, but it's still so cool. The Citizen was a big swing for me, chronograph hands wasn't lined up, wasn't even working, and the small running seconds hand was skipping. But after half an hour in the sun everything working fine. Cool blue lume on it. There was a Casio F91 as well, but the light wasn't working so I decided to skip on it.

Yea the hand skipping is how eco-drive tells you to get in the sun. Sweet watch.

The F-91W light isn't really that good ever. Nice Casio Royale though.

Agreed, but for 4 bucks it's amazing.

Thanks! I like chronographs and I've been wanting to try out an eco drive citizen.

·

Bargain. That Eco Drive is cool.

I love thrift shopping in general. Is like going to a museum of things people don't want. One day I wanted to just try out tennis and bought decent rackets and balls for like 9 bucks.

·

Damn, what a great deal. I really don’t see watches in thriftstores here. 🫤🤷‍♂️

Throw it in the sunlight for a day to get it fully charged. After that, ambient light plus outdoors should keep it charged.

·

these are great buys for cheap! I never get this lucky when thrift shopping

A garage sale and Flea markets you might be just lucky. I just found something Retro nice for cheap and best part it works.

Really dig that! The RadioShack labeling! Alas I work weekends so I can't hit local flea markets or garage sale like I would like.

I seen some old busted up vintage timex and citizen watches not too much of a big fan of those the risky part buying something really cheap that doesn't works . Now to find a watch repair place and all said and done end costing as much as a new one.

That Casio is awesome. I have two of that model and a couple of the related models.
