Iโm debating grabbing this speedtimer, anyone own the ssc911? Is it better than the ssc813? The price on it right now is to hard to pass up ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
This account is verified. WatchCrunch has confirmed that this account is the authentic presence for this person or brand.
I own the JDM version - SBDL095. This is indistinguishable from the SSC911, aside from the tiny lettering that says "JAPAN V192" wording to the left of the 6 o'clock marker.
The main difference between the SSC911 and SSC813 is wrist presence; I have a 7.25" wrist, and the larger 41mm fits my wrist better versus the 39mm of the SSC813. It is also a little bit thicker if memory serves; the SSC911 has more of a slab-sided case construction.
Function-wise, they both work the same, having effectively equivalent V192 solar chronograph movements.
I got this model and I like it. The subdials are the same size and better in my opinion. Look's great on leathers too.
Get one. I am in love with mine !!
I've got one as well. That was my first expensive watch and I absolutely love it. For some people might not be that expensive but I know where I started from and where I am now so.. That's the very first picture from the shop and then I walk out with it on my wrist.

I have the same one and I love it.
Sorry, Iโm not adding any value with my comment but Good lord! A payment plan for 24 months at 30%???? Holy fudge thatโs insane. Are people really doing this for a watch???
APR of 30%? Youโre better off putting this on your credit card.

This might be some kind of Amazon financing. Youโre better off paying Affirm interest or even just putting on your credit card and not paying it off right away.
Jeff Bezos already has enough money, donโt need to give him any more than necessary.
I remember when Amazon was cool and took my Amex points.
So many cheap Seikos were bought with points back in the day.

Some people can only see the short term, paying $29 a month...lol
@BryanBlaze I'd get this instead for similar price and better looking:

I have this one and love it. I don't think it's the same exact version but the Speedtimer is awesome

If you go on a 24 month payment plan for a $500 watch i think you might want to reconsider your decision

Itโs baffling to me. Theyโre paying an extra $179 for that watch.

Agree! But itโs mind boggling to me that there are people out there who will sign up for this plan. I have so much to say on this matter, itโs crazy.
Go for a Lorier:)
A big frustration with this model for me is the lug width. Itโs almost 21mm but not quite. If you have a bunch of 20mm straps Iโd say go with the 813.

Yeah, it's a lot higher than most credit cards. 19.99% is pretty standard. I guess if you don't qualify for a card, you can qualify for this? But then in that situation should you be buying a $500 watch? So many questions..
I have a Speedtimer and love it. However, I would not finance it
I've thought about one of these speedtimers for a while now, but I just couldn't live with the date window not bisecting the 4 and 5 markers, nor does it bisect the subdials...it would just drive me nuts. Have you thought about the actual Seiko panda (Seiko287) or the SBTR031? I think you should familiarise yourself with the JDM range before pulling the trigger on one of these SSC Seikos.
