NATO strap suggestions?
OK! I ordered this watch earlier this week. It's my first big boy watch (just kidding- I love my Seiko and my G-Shock...but you know what I mean!) and I'm STOKED! I'm wanting a NATO strap for casual wearing and I'll get a leather strap for dressier events.
So, any suggestions about what color/scheme of NATO would look best with this fine gentleman? 😎

My suggestion is a MN strap from Erika's Originals. They are as casual as a NATO, but have none of the bulk, and are adjustable so that you always get a perfect fit.

As for colours, that's entirely a personal taste thing, but I'd be looking at Shamal, Sahara, or maybe Havana. I like my strap to contrast with the dial, rather than match.

Classic gray nato goes with pretty much everything. The UTE on Hodinkee’s shop is very good quality per dollar spent. They refresh stock regularly if it’s sold out when you try. I went through a bunch of cheaper NATOs before trying this one. Don't get a nato strap get a marine nationale strap far more comfortable and in my opinion look alot better than nato with no loose strap ends and come in lots of color combinations, def a superior strap.
Dude! I just got the red one last week, also my first big purchase. Congrats! Anyway my first thought is black or grey nato becuz dial is busy and colorful enough but try a bunch of cheap nato first.

I've bought from C&B before their straps are pretty well made. I want to check out the Matte Blue and the Midnight & Crimson nato next. Their Chevron line up in nice too
I think these 40mm Speedmaster Racing models were wholly under appreciated. I am saving up for the grey dial with yellow highlight model.
I can only find a handful of reviews on them and they were in production for 8 years. It's like no one knows this reference existed.

Oh man, quick update: I am LOVING my Speedmaster Racing!!! Seriously so happy with this purchase. It is a freaking strap monster! I alternate between the bracelet, a black, leather strap, and two different NATO straps (one black and one olive green). LOVE!!!
Hey @Braven ! I’m seriously thinking about getting this in the all black or the reverse panda dial. I have a couple of questions.

How do you like it so far (functionality, accuracy, in-person appearance and aesthetics)? I realize that professional photos usually flatten the brilliance of a watch, could you post some more pictures of yours especially in that olive nato?
What are your likes/dislikes?
