Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition

SIGN ME UP FOR THIS BAD BOY.

37mm would be the perfect size for my wrist. As a member of the itty bitty wrist committee, and a fan of Hamilton watches, I think I may have found my next purchase.

I love the Seiko Alpinist because of how different it is and the fact that the compass actually works. This Hamilton is the best of both worlds for me since I have been eyeballing the Khaki Field and the Alpinist since I started collecting watches last year.

What are your thoughts on Hamilton’s latest release?

I like the looks, but a compass bezel is kind of a useless feature. I think a timing bezel would have been better.

Also, note to Hamilton: You have something like 30+ models that share the Khaki name. How about putting your marketers to work and coming up with some new model names?

I think it is a excellent looking watch

The Hamilton Expedition is my next watch. Best Hamilton ever IMO. 👍

Just saw this piece elsewhere and thought, hmmmm, maybe? But I have 2 other modern Hamiltons and don't want to add another. If that's your wrist it looks great on you so if you like it then go for it!

I wish that was my wrist. It’s very tan.

I like it. A bit like an upgraded Khaki Field Mechanical. But I would prefer a 39mm size for a watch like this. Will probably still have a look at it at some point.

Damn. This is almost the perfect watch for me but I would want to be able to use the bezel as a timing bezel. As it is, you can time 15 minutes between cardinal directions easily. But the arrows for NE, SW, etc. are in 7.5 minute intervals, which isn't great.

They could pretty easily have put rudimentary timing bezel markings on as well and it could have done both. Oh well.

About the bezel remarks, how many people use a diving bezel for any purpose other than as a fidget toy? .007% is my wild guess. 😠🤣😂😜

I use timing bezels regularly. When I'm grilling mainly. But also for timing how long a drive takes, etc. I find it easier than fishing my phone out of my pocket and initiating the stop watch.

Ooooh that's nice I need a compass on my watch don't know why but I'll definitely get lost to make an excuse to buy that 👌

·
