I am currently saving for my next watch.I am looking to spend around 1.5k maybe less maybe a tad more. Lately, I have been looking at Mido, Nivada Grenchen, and Longines. I would add an Omega Aqua Terra to the search but it would have to be pre-owned. So far at the top of my list is the Longines Spirit. Probably by the time I saved up the bucks I might find something else.

I'm saving up for a Grand Seiko with one of their 9F high accuracy quartz movements. Possibly the SBGP005. I've been feeling the need for an elegant three hander that can be worn for more dressy occasions with the grab and go convenience of quartz.

I was considering this Citizen but it is 1.5k more than I want to spend. Very comparable to a GS. The finishing on the watch is incredible with one of Citizen's most accurate quartz movements, not a GS but pretty close. Some do not like the bird on the dial but I have no problem with it.
What’s the rest of your collection? That Longines is stunning. If you want a Aqua Terra, save up for one. You can find an older lightly used model between $2k-$3k.
Me personally I’m not saving up for anything right now. So many watches I love and would buy but then I’d have no money lol. If my wrist ever got much bigger is upgrade my current watches to bigger versions. For now I’m happy with what I own and don’t see myself that excited to spend multiple times as much for anything else.
Looming financial collapse.🤣

I've considered getting one of those as well, but from what I understand Citizen's HAQ movements don't come with a trimmer. They're basically a manually adjustable circuit that allows you to easily tune the frequency of a quartz crystal in order to retain accuracy as it ages. Unlike Citizen, Grand Seiko's quartz movements do have them.
I like the idea of being able to easily take my watch to any local professional to have it tuned up rather than having to ship it all the way back to Japan for Citizen to work on it when the time comes (which realistically would probably take decades with either watch given their quality, but whatever).
JLC Polaris Mariner Date. That or an Omega Seamaster 300m. I can’t decide.

That is a nice choice to have, I own an Omega SMP 300 Chrono and JLC Master Control Hometime obviously two different types of watches, and I enjoy both watches. If I had to sell one I would sell the Omega because I really dig my JLC, it is more pleasing to the eye and is more accurate.

I’m leaning JLC myself but the price difference is not insignificant.

No more SBGE255???
No more SBGE255???
Still in the mix. I‘m waffling. I just got promoted at work to Executive Director so I have to commemorate with something. The GS is certainly still in contention. I hate this hobby. So hard to make decisions when you have multiple infatuations.
JLC Duo. My grail watch.
Custom horween straps for all of my watches.
On a slow crawl to the speedmaster 57 master chronometer. Likely will be distracted by a few others along the way
I am planning a bit of a clear out and maybe one of these. Saying that, I’d love an original one of these as well (Vertex or Cyma though, not Grana, that’s far too rare), but the Timor reissue would be a far safer bet:
I've been saving up for a GS Shunbun for a couple of months now, but with the newly released Omiwatari white dial, I might not pull the trigger on the Shunbun.
WHY GRAND SEIKO, WHY!!!

That's a stunning watch.
Maybe this. I'm not in a rush but this is so far the only thing that seems to tick most of my boxes. Titanium, quick size adjust clasp, digital timers, etc..
I guess it's more a grail to get myself as a gift for an achievement someday. I can't afford it right now.
Probably I will need decades for this one: omeage speedmaster snoopy
More seriously though, this Tudor black bay is just beautiful, definitely gonna buy one in the future (not near future but just future 😁)
Saving probably isn't the right word. If I got the call tomorrow that my Pelagos FXD had arrived, I could go buy it with no hardship. However, I'm still putting away a couple $100 a paycheck in advance of it showing up.
I have the longines spirit it's pretty nice a great choice my friend

I’m waiting it out with the AD.

I’d go with the boring grey dial, smooth bezel and baton indicies :)
41 is perfect for me, though!

What style bracelet Oyster or Jubilee?

Oyster! :)
Best choice for a smooth bezel.
Color me boring
Saving for the hana ikada (what us snobbier snobs call the 413). Or some grailier GS? But the boring old 413 is the cheapest of the lot.
Watch Savings plan keeps getting f’ed up by life imposing on that plan ☹️
I think like most of us… I save for while, get frustrated, then buy some nice 500 to 1500 watch that sparkles pleasingly at me 😂
Im about to sell my tool boxes and other random stuff to get a JLC Polaris Chrono... if I get a good price on it all I will try to get the Chrono Worldtime version... but One of them for sure!
I like the longines Spirit. Saw it on sale a couple of months ago and was tempted. What am I saving for? That changes from time to time but currently I’m saving for a Sinn356.
