I have the same problem with my OCD. Sometimes I put extra straps on the empty pillows and sometimes I take the pillows out and put a few pocket knives (another hobby of mine) in. Bracelets are another option.
Don't line up the watches. Try putting them in haphazardly and artistically, and changing where the spaces are each time you change watch. Think of them enjoying some breathing space/ elbow room rather than all cramped in like sardines in a tin!

That's the most difficult part but I am surely going to follow this advice, thank you!!
Print out a picture of the watches you want and put the print out in the empty spaces? Might be motivational😂

The OCD goes away after your first box. Just buy another box right away and start focusing on filling them slowly with great watches 😬

Buy straps for the watches you own and give your wife your credit card
A dive watch, a field watch, and a flieger will fill your collection rather nicely

Impressive.
I don’t think there is a cure for that I been searching for years without any luck empty spots must be filled any way possible 😁
A vintage chronograph would be an excellent edition too that collection. I recommend the seagull 1963
