Lange 1815 best chrono ever?

Ok that's a dumb question. However for me I've never owned or experienced a smoother acting chrono.

Visually it's the most beautiful chrono I own. To my eyes it's prettier than the lemania 2310..whether that's the Vacheron 47101 or Patek 5070 finished version of the movement.

I owned a Lange Satograph for a couple of years and that thing was a thing of beauty. Very nice chronograph! Enjoy!

The Dato is a thing of beauty. I tried it on several times and I could never get comfortable with the thickness of the watch. I owned a double split for awhile but kept whacking it on door jambs! The 1815 is the goldilocks Lange for me.

Among the finest produced ever, but "best chronograph ever" could be taken verrrrry differently depending on your set criteria

I think the 1815 is perfect size! I ended up with an AP Chronograph. Too thick and bulky. I would love an 1815!

It's really a shame that disply isn't on the front.

"What time is it?"

"I really don't care"😍

·

NEVER let this one go. You will not find a better made nor finished watch. Hold it near and dear!

The front is so pretty it’s painful. The back is just foolishness. So crazy and complex it is just mind boggling. It might not be everyone’s best chrono. But it’s certainly in almost everyone’s top 5.

For me, virtually chronograph perfection. I’d take this any day over anything from the Swiss

My absolute grail watch😍 Beautiful!

Prettiest I would say...

I bought it from the sothebys sale. It used to be part of the 3AC Hedge Fund collection.

I am inclined to agree! Datograph was my grail for a long time and I should receive it this year. I hope they don't suddenly come out with a new one for the 25th anniversary!

That said, my SA asked me if I want the 1815 chrono boutique edition, which was very high on my list if it weren't for the datograph. Arg tough decision...but I gotta go for the datograph bc it's the datograph. I may wish I had a thinner watch later on, let's see.

Cheers, my friend. You too! Love the Elegante.

The moment I had the privilege of trying on the Datograph Flyback at a meetup last year, I was struck by the impeccable finishing on the German silver bridges—truly a testament to German craftsmanship. The watch’s execution surpassed any I've encountered in person. The only other timepiece I've experienced that operates in this echelon of excellence was a DeBethune.

I've gotten to see this in the metal when I was in the Lange shop in Tokyo. This is jaw droopingly beautiful
