My take: I've never bought a traditional diver because they all essentially mimic the Submariner. The only brand that could overcome this judgement would be their sister brand Tudor and in this case, it works for me. For me, their best looking watch. I would prefer having this plus 5K in cash than a Sub.
I love the backlash against dress codes. Sure, you CAN wear whatever you want wherever you want but that doesn't mean you will look good.
I agree you can wear dress watches with casual wear.
But let's not take this logic too far. You CAN wear crocs with a suit too, but let's be serious.
