New Old Seiko!

Was gifted this Seiko DX 6105-5467 and loving it! Seiko‘s vintage catalog never ceases to surprise me.

Anyone else have one of these vintage DX models, or any other forgotten Seiko gems?

I really love the vintage 70s Seiko's and I could scroll through the endless selection of old Seiko 5s on eBay for hours. No better way to spend an evening 😆 and super cheap in the grand scheme of things. 👍

I am currently waiting on my friendly local watch restorer to refurbish a lovely Seiko for me. 🥳

Cool integrated steel blue dial sports watch!!  Where is the crown?

I don't own a 61xx model but I have a Seiko 7019 Baby Monaco. Currently it's completely disassembled in the midst of the restore process. Seiko was at it's best in the 70s so many cool designs and solid watches.

It’s in the normal spot, but pretty much flush with the case. Some time I’ll put up a video showing how the day and date are set because it’s really abnormal (to me atleast).

Those are pretty interesting, and awesome to see vintage 5s getting some love! I think I've heard the 21 jewel movements are desirable. In the late-60s to 70s Seiko was peak case design in my opinion. I love the King Seikos of that era too, with their bold dial colors and exaggerated lugs (can't remember the specific references).

Totally agree with you I let a 'non-runner' King Seiko go on eBay a while back and really wish I had grabbed it.
