Would you? Why? And what?

Only if it’s Doctor Strange’s JLC…Time will tell how much I love you - Christine 🤣

If it's a watch I plan to keep, why not? I haven't yet, but mostly because I haven't bought a "milestone" watch yet either.

·

I like it as a gift. I would never sell a gift, so not an issue for me.

I just picked up a Tutor Royale for one of my divisional CFOs that was retiring, and had a nice remembrance engraved on the caseback. He was very pleased with the gift.

So for those kind of events...yes engraving is nice.

Otherwise...not so much.

Just think, though, without the engraving on the back of that certain Daytona...who knows if it would have sold for $17M...

Yes. I like doing engraving on some of my watches. Lorier Neptune and my Momentum Sea Quartz.

Neutral.

However I would rather engrave a spare case back or the clasp, which will make it easier to return the watch to its original condition.

Damn good idea 👍🏻

I’ve considered this but the odds are you would have to find an after market case back. As you are unable to order OEM part from Rolex at an AD. I have considered doing it to some of my watches. But I’ll probably wait a few decades.

Engraving on a gift watch sounds good, so you're sure they won't sell it 😂

I have engraved casebacks on three in my collection 🤙🏼
