Watch out for Canada

I'm a watch collector from Canada. I love all types of timepieces regardless of where they are made. I was looking at my collection and was dazzled by the Swiss and German pieces, then I see the elegance and functionality of the Japanese and American made. Aside from some Chinese watches which I'm very particular about, I see one watch that is Canadian and a light turned on, I should be buying more Canadian watches to support our home made products and I made up a list.

I know that almost everyone here has heard of Marathon watches which specializes in tactical and rugged terrain pieces... but have you heard or tried any of the ones listed? If so drop a comment, or if you have tried others... Please share. I'm looking forward to seeing the comments on this poll.

Coolest thing about this reissue and Momentum as a whole is it is currently headed by the son of the owner of Chronosport. Who did the OG Sea Quartz.

Fantastic watch btws.

We’re arrogant jerks, but hide it well. 🙂

I grew up in Vancouver so I remember when momentum was saint moritz watch! They’re still in that little house on 7th Ave a few blocks from the hospital I work at. Always great discounts for walk in customers for whatever they’ve got on hand

I’d love to buy a Halios, but it seems like it’s been a long time since they sold anything.

Yea I remember following them when they released the first Gen Steelix. Back then it was Momentum by St. Moritz Watch I think.

You’re covering America’s big head…🇺🇸🤪

·

Not heard of any Canadian watches. 🤔😕

·

I believe Redwood Watches is also Canadian, eh? 😉🫣🤪😅

Odd name for a watch brand, IMO, but their solar stuff fills a nice, affordable niche of techno-savvy, mixed with retro aesthetic.

·

I only know Marathon and I live one bridge away from Canada😱

·

Love Ferro & Company watches...Bob and Ary are great!

Here are the ones I have in my collection (still working on getting wrist shots for all in the database)...

I purchased the whole set of the Racemasters, but only have four wrist shots so far...I've been spacing them out.

A bridge apart😉

York & Front is a Canadian company.

It looks like they have not been very successful selling out their one and only model, the Burrard, designed in Canada, Swiss made (so I’m not sure if they belong in this conversation)

Image

Still available on their website.

Although a bit generic it has a charming retro design.

·

There is also a micro brand called VanBanner watches.

·

Now I want to buy a Canadian watch!

·
Amusa82

I will definitely check them out

They don’t have that many watches. Bezel gives me Rolex Yachtmaster vibes

Follow them on discord. Halios seems to post more frequent updates there.

I’ll give it a try!

Looked at a Marathon for so long but they’re so thick. Maybe when I visit family next I’ll try to see on in the “flesh”.
