Watch recommendations…

I just graduated college and I want to get myself a watch, saved a bit but can’t go over 2K, any recommendation? automatic or manual, would love a diver or field watch, open to any brands.

My suggestion bridges the gap between diver and field, the Christopher Ward C63. Anything in the C63 range should be under $2K USD, and in the case of the three hander well under, but they are great watches.

Sport Watches | Christopher Ward

I have a while dial, with the previous branding, and it's one of my absolute favourites.

And, if you want a "big Swiss brand" there are a lot of Longines that are under 2K that are really nice, especially the Conquest and Hydroconquest diver. https://www.longines.com/en-us/watches/suggestions/mens-watches/mens-watches?gclid=Cj0KCQiAkMGcBhCSARIsAIW6d0A9cjaITYm50zo6iTOUf4OUUIVpkbki8fzbE6yS3ne1IOlt7WGuFIAaAkHWEALw_wcB&product_list_order=price

The longines Spirit 37mm.

Quality, heritage, looks, it's all there, this could be your one and only watch. Can't get much better for the price.

This is going to sound old fashioned but because your prompt and budget is so broad, I'm gonna give it a go.

Why don't you potentially walk into an AD and try some watches on?

If you're in Mexico City, Masaryk Street in Polanco  has a ton of top tier authorized dealers spanning a lot of price brackets.

Maybe consider going to El Palacio de Hierro Polanco for all the brand boutiques?

It will help you narrow down things a ton.

Congratulations! Awesome Milestone achievement!!! Lots of options in Christopher Ward, Tissot. Hamilton, Seiko,  Longines, and Oris have some great options

@AlonsoOak This is not only great advice because it will improve your chances of finding the right watch, it’s great advice because (unless you’re just not wired this way, which is of course fine) the experience of taking yourself shopping for something nice is part of the fun, and may add to the story that accompanies whatever watch you acquire.

And congratulations on graduating. Nice job!

What’s next in your life?  What career path do you hope to be on this year?  In five years?  That might help narrow down the selection to something that will remind you of what you’ve accomplished and what you ca n achieve.
