AnOrdain Model One - Post Office Red
On the wrist today is an AnOrdain Model One in Post Office Red. I am a sucker for red watches and when I was first introduced to this brand I knew I had to have one, especially given the complexity of the dial creation process. This particular one has the ETA 2824 regulated by the folks at AnOrdain and keeps spot on time. Size specs come in at 38mm, 46L2L, 11mm thick, and an 18mm strap.
Overall very big fan, though if I have a gripe it is how tough it is to get the crown out. I do not usually have long nails and it can be a pain to set at times. That could be just me, but it is not that big a deal.
Hope you like the shots, I am slowly working on putting together a proper macro setup to take better shots and I am quickly reminded no matter how well something looks to the eye, the lens shows laziness in prepping the watch!

Agreed. For the money, it’s hard to beat what you get when you think of the passion and craftsmanship that goes into them. It really separates them from many micros in the price range.

Great write up and wonderful photos! Definitely a dial worthy of these macro shots - so much texture and variety in the colors. Thats too bad about the crown but look at the bright side… no date function to painfully set at least 😂

There really is a great deal of texture the press shots don’t show. The crown is surely my issue as I know I keep my nails too short. Definitely no date for the win here. :-)

I was lucky I ordered some time ago before the big YouTube videos hit. Took a couple of months. It’s a fabulous watch and looks even better in the metal. They were great - excellent communication.
It’s a great looking watch. I got on the train very early and bought it through MoMA and they had a 20% off, so it was under $1000. If I knew then what I know know, I would have bought a ton of them. Anordain is a great company to work with, I hope your spot gets converted soon.
