Exciting Project Update: Strap Prototypes

Hi, everyone!

I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you!

Our eagerly awaited prototype straps have finally arrived, and I must say, they're quite impressive. We're absolutely delighted with the quality and overall feel of these pieces.

It's important to note that the production straps will come equipped with quick-release functionality, and will make some slight adjustments to the buckles for an enhanced look. Furthermore, I'm pleased to inform you that both colors will be included with each watch, offering our customers a fantastic variety.

In the coming months, we'll be diligently reviewing watch head prototypes, and rest assured, we'll keep you updated on any developments in this regard.

If you're interested in staying up-to-date on the progress of this project and the latest developments from my brand, WorkWatchCompany, please message me your email address. Your continued support means the world to me, and I can't thank you all enough for being part of this journey!

Best regards,

Adam

Hi, just my opinion.

Can't say I'm a fan of the big X stitching.

Crown looks too big.

There again, it's just one person's opinion.

·

Fair enough. Thank you for the feedback. I didn’t really want to do the rivets in the strap for this one, so I went with the X, which is another aviation style.

·

Surely the big crown is part of the heritage design? Easy to use with gloved hands at 20,000 feet.

·

Awsome I look forward to seeing the updates. Here is my opinion:

Have a strap option that has matching sticking to the color leather. I don’t like when the sticking stands out as much. And I’m sure there are other that feel the same.

Crown is a bit on the heavy side.

Dial can use more detail

Hand can also be give a little personality, it goes a long way.

Yes, that is correct. Personally, I really like that style.

Thank you! I was on the fence about having the matching stitching for the black strap, but ultimately decided to go with the contrast for the prototypes. Still not too late to switch that, for sure. I’ll see how it goes.

I didn't realise it was part of the aviation style.

Never thought of it being part of the function of the type of watch, I'm wrong again. 🤔

Indeed. Much less common/popular, but I thought something a little unusual would be worth while. Time will tell.

·

Good luck with your venture though im also not a fan of the x stitching

Yea well that’s at least how I feel idk if the majority prefers the contrast. Maybe make the black match and the brown contrast if it’s possible and doesn’t effect cost to much. One this I know everyone is after is a deal at the end of the day.

Indeed. It would end up being the same cost. I’m going to see what people say and go from there. I still have the freedom to adjust the strap design. I am impressed with the materials and construction quality though.

Most people will change the straps anyway. Go with what you think is best.

·

I agree that the crown suits perfectly. What thickness will the watch be? Are you not putting a logo on the dial?

I actually like the X stitching on the strap.

I actually like the X stitching on the strap.

The thickness has been taken down to 10.2mm, so quite slim for this style. There is a ‘ghosted’ logo on the dial at 12. It just can’t be seen on the black dial render.

Great project, love the shape of the case and the size looks perfect! As for my two cents, here's what I would do:

Case: Add a slight shamfered bezel, Make the crown smaller (just a tad)

Dial: Change some of the lettering to red to pick out the seconds hand; add a railroad track minutes track; Ammend the font; change the 4 dots for screws like a cockpit gauge; change the blue hands for matte black

Strap: Sell it on a khaki NATO with a red stripe to pick out the details.

This is awesome! You have some serious talent! I think my favorite change is the red numbering. Prototype production has started, but I might have some flexibility in the final production still. Might offer an alternate dial. This is my first project, so I have no existing customer base, so I’m not sure how many I will sell yet. Hopefully it is popular enough to offer some options.

Thank you very much! That's very kind of you to say!

In any case I can't wait to see the finished product, congratulations and kudos for actually building a watch! Just in case you look into it, the font is "Lemon Milk Pro" by the way 👍

Oh, thank you! Also, what software are you using?

Honestly I'm ashamed to say it's just Picsart, an android app on my phone 😅 it's crude but I've been using it to play around with watches and other things for years!

·

No shame in that! Very well done!

·

Lose the x stitching.

·

Lose the x stitching.

That actually might be what happens. Going to give it a bit more time and see.

·

Interresting. Can't go wrong with brown or black leather strap. Personnally, I'm a huge fan of rivet straps or Bund strap on a flieger. A leather NATO could also be interresting. More options is always welcome after all.

I’m definitely not against the rivets. Certainly, it is popular for a reason.
