Where Do I Sell My Watch?

While I have some experience buying watches, I'm yet to sell one. Would appreciate some recommendations as to the best places online to sell.

You can try eBay or if you want security I would suggest Chrono24

Hey, I sold 3 watches on Chrono24.com.

Very good experience. Quite easy, secure and not badly made.

·

Haha - yes sir.

Depends on the value of the watch, if it’s a higher value item then there will be dealers who would sell on consignment for you.

·

No - you’re the first.

·

Ebay quick and easy just make sure you work out selling fees so you walk away with what you expect and good luck 👍

Craigslist and Facebook may be worth trying as well. More importantly, would anyone like to pay me for one or more of my watches?

I love Chrono24 as a buyer. Never sold one on the platform but as a buyer I trust the site and it's my first go to to buy anything pre-owned

·

Watchfinder? I see their good vids on YouTube

I have bought a few on r/watchexchange on Reddit. I have also sold some watch stands on there. Good experience but ymmv.

I have bought and sold on many platforms. Chrono 24, and eBay are the ones I use the most. Personally, on eBay I will make it a point to only sell to people that have a certain amount of positive feedback, and I will note that in the description. I myself have been buying and selling with 100% feedback over 20 years. Always ship your watch insured and signature required. On high end pieces, I always ask my AD, and other grey dealers if they have interest. I calculate the fees, charges, ect. Sometimes it's easier and safer to sell to a dealer than risk getting scammed. I try to go in person, and always ask for a bank wire. Hope this helps.
