Dave Portnoy / Barstool Sports Getting in the Watch Game?!
I saw on Dave Portnoy’s Instagram feed that he is starting a watch company called “Brick Watch Company”.
Not sure if anyone has any intel on this? At a glimpse, they appear to be on the same level as MVMT or Vincero…Thoughts? Comments? Who cares?

Yeahhhh I wouldn't wear anything related to Portnoy. Same reason I wouldn't wear Yeezys or Travis Scott's; not a fan of the figurehead.
If he makes a pizza dial plastic watch that's super cheap, I'd buy one just for the lulz. Might wear it while eating frozen pizza late at night.
I have not sold a watch, but if that guy bought any watches I own, I would likely immediately sell them.
Funny enough he opened our watch during one if his covid unboxing videos and really liked it.
Bottom line IMO, he really missed the mark. Looks like he picked it out of a catalogue from one of the many watchmakers. Has no individual style, which is surprising since it is Dave Portnoy, and the options show even more vanilla offerings.
He choose the wrong people to make this product for him, especially at the price point he is targeting.
Basically just feels like a rapper who came out with his own champagne brand so he could rap about that and sell it to his fans.

Agreed…and might I also add, every Wayfinder blows them out of the water!!
The new Nomos/HODINKEE collab is priced at 2250 so it undercuts Portnoy and has a much better in house manual movement with much higher finishing.
