Thanks Deanseiko876. Wise words for sure. I’m happy to see another vintage seiko 5 fan. The only problem with reconnecting with this watch is that I am going down an auction rabbit hole with other vintage seiko 5’s and I’m afraid I’m going to eat into my budget for my bigger goal.
Yup. That is absolutely a factor that makes it hard for me to sell. I have #2 of #50 (#39). I think that a #49 was actually made and is out there in the wilderness somewhere. Watchuseek has a thread dedicated to tracking down owners.
Thank you. You’re right about the MKII and Bathy presence back then. You couldn’t start a conversation in the forums without someone screaming their praise.
I’ll also add to your list as I remember a lot of talk and action with Bernhardt. Ah, the good ol days.
I have a Seiko mini turtle that I really enjoy. I think the dial almost has a jade color in the sun.
