I have an Omega De Ville Prestige for my first born daughter. Omega Speedmaster for my son. And I just picked up the Aqua Terra for my third (and last) child.
I also have a 36mm DJ for my daughter. And hopefully I can acquire the 40mm Explorer and the polar Explorer 2 for my sons. And I’m burying the rest with me when I’m gone lol

Pshhhh the kids want Apple watches So..... Bury me with all my watches!!!!!!!!
So far only one daughter, hence she is getting mommys collection consisting of baby Casioak, Tank, vintage two toned Longines and gold Omega ( this one is my girlfriends grandmothers watch passed down 4 generations so far )😂 From my collection predominantly larger +40mm watches but have some vintage she could get ( IWC and UG ). Rest she can sell and have good use of funds after I am gone.
We’re expecting our daughter this summer and we’re able to get this birth year watch for her. Of course my wife will cherish it for many years before passing it on.
For my son, he can have the pick of any of my watches depending on his taste but probably my vintage Patek.
For me, my watch gift buying has a practical bent. I would probably wait a while to see how they grow, so that i could get a sense of how well a watch might fit them. For a girl i would go for a more unisex option in terms of sizing, but i have read that your generation of Explorer 2 is 39-ish mm? So it’s not a bad choice. I also try to find a watch that is day date, so increased everyday utility.

Ain’t that the truth. Guess I’m getting buried in style 😂
This one would also be my choice , so perfect in every regard
I think I’ll pass this down to my youngest son.
Bought it for $25k in 2010 and I feel it’s a great heirloom to pass on

My boss got that for my son for Christmas!
The watches... are mine.
I wonder if people would feel as excited and appreciative if they received a pocket watch that was passed down by a loved one...
