New Seiko (LE?! 😅)
Despite not really being limited edition (15,555 units 🥸), the new Seiko Sport Reissue is awesome.
Pros:
- has a couple of features none of my other watches have: day function (which can be set to both English and Chinese), and bi-directional bezel (so useful)
- size is great
- lume is the best I own (and puts my Omega NTTD to shame)
- crown placement is fun
- Price
Cons:
- bracelet is just alright (wish it was a little less rigid)
- crown is really fiddly. With the added day function perhaps best to never let this watch stop as it’s a pain to set 🥲
- clasp feels really cheap (well, it’s a low-priced watch)
Hence the switch to a nato… just bare in mind that spring bars sit really close so you need a really thin nato in order to slide through

It is limited. All I can see on the marketplace is people trying to flip these for £700. Double what they paid. I loved the look of the watch but not enough to pay double.
Unfortunately I missed out on getting this one at retail price, but like buses there will be another watch along soon enough.
@TyrogScot this was easily available at my local AD (and can see still available on Seikos website). Think they’ll be around for a while as so many of them - no need to pay more on marketplace

It's selling out quickly. I missed out on the first lot at my AD thinking I could pick up one later but I was wrong and now I pre-ordered one from their second lot which would be the final allocation for them. The ones sold were already numbered at 11xxx so not expecting these models to hang around for sale a long time.
Apparently, Seiko just produced the whole 15555 in a single production run instead of the long production run they usually do with their limited editions over a period of 1 or 2 years. If you consider the number of markets that Seiko sells the 5 lineup, it is still quite a small number for this one-off limited edition. It is pretty much sold out on most online websites at retail.
This model looks good on tropic and rally straps.

Agree with your analysis except the bracelet comment. Feels much better than the Seiko 5 usual fare (I admit the bar is pretty low). Big plus for me is that it’s not using a pin and collar bracelet!!! Tried resizing my mini turtle bracelet and I gave up.

Cheers. I agree on the pin and collar - I bought the SPB385 this year and had to bash pin with a hammer in order to get it to stay inside bracelet, when resizing

Hi - I *think* just normal. I actually just ordered curved spring bars from Amazon (didn’t know they existed), so hopefully that’ll give me more room to switch up the straps
