Watch storage suggestions?

Hi everybody

Some time ago I purchased a cheap watch box quite like the one in the picture from Amazon.

I've been happy enough with it 'til now, but it has been invaded by my family's timepieces, so that now I do not have space for my new purchases. 🤨

Thus I was guessing: how do you keep your watch collection safe? Do you have expensive watch boxes or did you just buy a random one from Amazon?

Considering that the value of my collection is rising, is it worth spending a bit more for an upgrade, or should I just save that money for my next timepiece?

Thank you, have a great day 🫡

Here's how I store my watches...

Tray costs $27 on Amazon.

I used to keep all my watches in a safe, in travel rolls. But, you know, it was too annoying to constantly open and close the safe to get out the watches.

I often just hang them with those orange clips.

It's free and the solars get power all day and there's no glass for my cats to break.

You can store your watches in any type of watch box you like. A better option might be a small safe. The bigger question for me is your house secure?

I buy boxes depending on how much I use the watches. My two main boxes sit on my bedroom dresser, and they are semi-nice, $80 on Amazon. My 3 most expensive watches sit in a roll hidden from view. Most my Casio's sit in a cheap travel case in the closet. Only my dad's old watch sits in a fire-proof safe box.

It depends on what your collection looks like I guess. If I had multiple $10k+ watches than maybe I'd invest in a nice safe. But if I have only one or two I'd probably just keep them somewhere easy and discreet the way I do now.

Dedication right here. Gotta add straps each time and yet so many people on here complain that it takes too long to adjust the time/date when the power reserve goes down.

My collection is still not that expensive. Were it to reach that point, I would definitely consider a bank safe

I have the exact box you showed in your picture from Amazon… it serves me well. When it “got invaded” like yours, I simply bought a second one and use them side by side!

Pretty good taste in high quality adult beverages I might add.....

This is a really quality watchbox that I recommend all the time.

It's around $30 on Amazon and has all the features you need to protect and display your quality watches...good for any budget 😉

Look, maybe someday I'll have an entire other room for them, but for now this admittedly 😬 situation is the best I can come up with.
