I think because the whole reason we love watches is because they are unconnected to anything but they are still powered by only our daily movement (or battery) and it's sole purpose is to tell the time but as a byproduct of us wearing them all the time, they hold memories. Putting that thing on the back of a watch is like a parasite on the belly of a shark 😂
Depends on the trip but to be honest Ive been finding myself going with just 1 watch but in the past I've done 2. Usually I'll try to read the vibe of the trip and choose a watch that suits all situations. Once I pick the watch I'll definitely bring an extra strap or 2 for versatility purposes
