Hublot Big Bang Caviar Black Ceramic

The Hublot Big Bang Caviar Automatic is one of the most elegant timepieces to have hit the market. This 346.CX.1800.RX watch comes in a 41mm polished black ceramic outer casing, which is fitted with a fixed bezel, black silicon rubber strap, and PVD steel deployment clasp. The black dial with rhodium-plated hands and indexes and a date window is one of the most appealing aspects of this Hublot creation. The Swiss watchmaker incorporates a HUB1112 engine with 42-hour power reserve to run the functions of this watch. Its water-resistance at 50 meters makes the Big Bang Caviar one of the most durable and wearer-friendly wrist hears from Hublot's extensive collection

Great looking watch but it seems like it would be hard to tell the time with it.

Elegant is not the first word that springs to mind when I look at this. Over engineered and unrefined seem more apt to me.

I normally like Hublot but this is not it. Weird manhole cover pattern that extends to the case, in a gloss finish that makes the rubber band look even drabber, and a horrid debossed branding on the rubber to boot.

I will give them props for getting the date aperture right, and the wheel in the right color, having a coordinating crown, and a somewhat legible handset. Incorporating some indices would have been nice.

Imagine being stuck with 3 of these…

The HUB1112 is a Sellita 300 with modifications to the date for larger watches.

I appreciate the chances taken, but "most elegant" timepiece is a bridge that I won't cross.

What’s sad are those that are swindled into buying that watch will believe they have some unique, high end, exclusive swiss movement. I can’t stand when brands make slight notifications and come up with their own caliber name for it. I have a glycine with an SW200-1. The only thing they did was customize the rotor, and they gave it their own caliber name. It’s also said they do this because it may be an ETA or Sellita, but I still find this to be deceptive advertising.

Yeah, except your watch is legible and has a nice dial.
