Honestly, they are two different beasts. GS has great dials and finishing and their movement technology is 🔥. So in my POV if you are into Reliable and high tech movement and Great dial and finishing, go for GS
However, Kurono is almost purely based on looks (dial , hands, case finishing ) and their movement is a high grade miyota. In my POV if you want somethine unique and have a strong take on japanese culture and that you dont mind a third party movement, i strongly recommend you try Kurono Tokyo. (And they are less than half the orice of a GS!) .
Note: Kurono watches are difficult to obtain due to high demand and low supply (I mean they r a microbrand) so getting your hands on one might be quite tricky. All the best!
