Never say no to a good offer and: be fast!

Found this watch yesterday at a AD nearby who will quit his business. They are selling their last watches and jewellery with quite high discounts.

Saw this beauty in the window, in the same moment another customer stepped into the store and asked for two watches (all are last pieces). One of the two watches was this Tissot Gentleman.

He and probably his girlfriend took some time with the watches, meanwhile I was waiting and looking through the store. I really hoped that he doesn‘t buy the Tissot directly, just waiting for my chance. Then, he and his girlfriend left the store and went back to the shop window.

I took the chance, went to the salesman and asked for the price. He told me an absolutely bargain price and I sayed „Ok, I‘ll buy it“. The Salesman informed the couple in front of the shop window that the watch was just sold and I got my new NWA 😄.

Main lesson with this purchase: if the offer is too good to be true, be as fast as you can 😅.

#welcome ! That's a great day. Right place, right time.

You snooze, you lose. Great buy.

Congratulations. That's a gorgeous looking watch (love the dial color), and with a great discount, sounds like a wonderful opportunity for you, and a missed opportunity for the other couple.

I've learned that same lesson too. A local shop had advertised a vintage JLC with a "mystery dial" on a local watch forum. As soon as I saw the posting I decided to check it out. Seeing that it was in excellent condition, I decided to buy it just as another member of the local watch enthusiasts group walked into the store. He was there for the same watch, so if I had hesitated (which I almost did), he would have snapped it up.

The flip side of the coin is being too anxious, and buying something without doing enough research, simply because it looks like a great deal. There's a fine line between striking while the iron is hot and making a regrettable impulse purchase decision based on FOMO.

Not watch related at all, but I had a quite similar experience with buying my house. Put in an offer on a Friday afternoon, while a couple with all cash decided to look at a few more places over the weekend. When they came back to look again on Tuesday, my offer was accepted already.

Wonderful pick up... One of my biggest crushes! Wear her well! Enjoy that a beautiful watch.

Timing is everything!

Beautiful watch. I didn't realize the Tissot Gentleman had that dial color.
