That’s how I started modding. Their assembling videos are worth it. Their cases and dials are nice, but the bracelets are not good. If there is an option don’t pay for a bracelet or strap. I now buy the parts separately because it is cheaper. Namoki mods has better parts, but their toolkit is inferior and their instructions suck.

I whole heartedly agree with everything you just said
I have their red fume dial dive watch from DIY watch club. I would summarize the experience as how you put it: good, fun but initially frustrating. It got me into modding watches. Between the toolkit the dive watch came with and some informative videos on YouTube I can do basic maintenance on my other watches which is great
What can I say? You've found WatchCrunch. I don't know how many people this community supported through their first build. We have people here who restore vintage watches, some disassemble and reassemble movements just for fun.
That being said: DIY Watch Club puts everything neatly into a box, and provides guaranteed support. I have only bought parts from them, and I am sure they are a reputable company.
I too also am looking into purchasing from them, particularly either the Coke GMT or the Batman with the orange GMT hand. I'm really digging their dials.

It is fun and at times frustrating experience but you come out with a watch you can be proud of.
I was given one of their kits for Christmas a year ago. It was fun! No issues with assembly or since.
I used them about a year ago. You can't go wrong with them.
Glad this came up. I have been looking at their diver and wondering the same thing. Thought it could be a fun project.
I’m still new to this hobby I know one day I’ll get to build my own watch. Right now it’s been about modding just having fun.
