I happen to own both an aquascaphe and a doxa 300. Both are outstanding. Based on your preference for french and your wrist size, the Baltic is an outstanding match. Awesome quality and wears smaller than the measurements suggest. Fantastic watch. I will be adding the new bronze version to my collection soon. I would add that the Baltic has superior build quality when compared to my zodiacs and doxa that cost way more.

I had the lorier for a couple of years. great watch. Sits a bit high and the crystal scratches extremely easily. I wouldn't buy it again even though I love the way it looks. There are similar looking watches out there that are better made. I have a Baltic aquascaphe too and the difference between the two in terms of build quality and toughness is huge imo.
