Seiko Modding - Parts?

Where is the best place to buy parts for seiko skx modding? I'm going to do it, I'm going to try it. Wish me luck. Feel free to give me any advice. I have zero experience with sieko modding haha.

Check out CrystalTimes and Namoki

Lucius Atelier and Komo Works for dials and hands, then watchandstyle, crystaltimes, and namoki for the rest. I bought from Dlw once and honestly was disappointed. I ordered the same bezel insert as the example watch you pictured hoping for a deep red as it looks in the photo. When it arrived it was just brown, like melted Hershey bar brown. Was pretty bummed, and ended up ordering a black insert from someone else.

@thewatchzealot :I might join you soon to mod my Seiko 5(SRPD)

I would add http://Tokeilab.com , and had a good experience with them.

That being said, if you have zero experience, I would start with an inexpensive watch from AliExpress. Either take a fully assembled watch, or start with diver case that only needs the movement, dial, hands and bezel insert.

The parts that the companies linked in this thread sell are nice. You might want to practice on something inexpensive for your first watch.

I've ordered several times from CrystalTimes and was very happy with the produc and quick service as a US based seller.

Man, this is a treasure trove!!! Thank you thank you!

For a beginner I would say eBay. I’m doing my first build soon and the parts are slowly arriving. You can find a variety of tools and parts for good prices.

Then there’s 3rd party websites like namoki watch mods which make quality parts but are a bit more pricey. If you’re willing to spend extra, the quality will be much better.

Would I be able to upgrade my movement without any experience ?
The fees I see to get it upgraded are quite demanding.

You're a star, thank you for that.
