Watches for small/slender men's wrists

I have a 15.5cm (6inch) wrist size which is considered "slender" by male standards. Many of the men's watches that I love tend to come big sizes (38mm and above) especially for dive watches, chronographs etc.

Currently my daily watch is a mid-sized Santos de Cartier which is perfectly sized for me. But would love more ideas and suggestions out their if u do have a smaller wrist like mine - what are the smaller sized watches (34/36/38) that looked good on you? (I'm sure many of you will suggest Rolex, but I already know that!~ haha, cheers!)

Tudor makes their 1926 line in 28, 36, and 41mm case sizes, and they’re beautiful watches. When I find myself in a spot to spend real money on a dress watch, it’ll be a 1926.

Grand Seiko.  Their watches are designed by slender-wristed Asians for slender-wristed Asians.  The 44.2mm GS SBGJ237 wears smaller on my wrist than the 42mm Breitling Premier B01.

Check out something like the SBGM247 or the SBGE255.  While they have case diameters of 40.5mm, due to a number of very well-thought-out design choices - curved lugs and case shape, nicely proportioned and curved clasp, etc., etc. - it wears considerably smaller.  Beyond that, if you throw any GS onto a strap that tapers nicely and it'll conform even more nicely to your wrist.

Good luck!

The 39.5mm Omega Planet Ocean wears nice on my 15cm wrist, and comes with the best bracelet and clasp I own; it is a thick watch though, not a daily driver IMO.

I also have a 38mm C.Ward Trident Pro 600 which wears nicely, but could really use a half-link.

Sinn 556i, but do not pay extra for the H-link bracelet, the clasp ruins it.

I'm currently wearing an Astor+Banks Fortitude Lite, which is a nice GADA.

Nomos in general… but I am a particular fan of the Orion model. https://nomos-glashuette.com/en/orion/orion-301
The 35 looks great on my MUCH larger wrist, but the have a 33, 38 and 41.

FSWABSWA just doesn’t have the same right to it that FUBU does. Although, if you say it out loud, it does kinda sound like a Harry Potter spell. So it’s got that going for it. Which is nice.

Honestly I feel like if you can pull off the medium santos you could probably make something up to 40mm work on your wrist. Those square watches take up more real estate than their case measurements would suggest.

Lots of manufacturers are sizing stuff down nowadays though. Rado has a Captain cook diver option at 37mm, and I think the yacht master comes in 37 as well.

Yeah I want a dive watch/ Chronograph that doesn’t make me look like a child wearing his dad’s watch! Glad that watch companies are offering more size options!

Yeah I haven’t tried GS before, although I have read all about it and totally love its designs. Because the moment I find out it is above 40mm, I would not consider it. Now that you say so, I should go to the store and try it on myself to see how it actually looks.

Have you looked at the Speedmaster 38s?  They include what looks to be the successsor to the Speedy reduced.

@Max has a review on it: https://youtu.be/YkaRiHN3vW8

A bit more bling than the Speedmaster Professional, automatic and an unobtrusive date complication at 6 o’clock.

Might be a nice pairing with your Santos.

Nice! I didn't realize Omega made a 38 without the oval effect on the sub-registers, which had turned me off that line.

Go vintage, as mentioned above.

mid 80s / early 90s Tags all have mid sizes and are still decent prices on 2nd hand market. Formula 1 chronograph Series 1 2nd revision, and Series 2 run at 36mm. Good for a daily / beater.

I have a Grand Seiko SBGW231 that fits wonderfully on my small wrist — I think it’s 37mm. Nomos also makes an Ahoi Neomatik at 36mm that is also a really fun watch to wear.

I've been inquiring about this watch at some ADs but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Normally you can expect a 15% discount off MSRP too.

I haven't seen an AD that carries this watch in their display so it's somewhat a risk to buy it without trying.
