1WC...Thoughts on week one.

So it's 7 days of the 1WC and I've been thinking about why I don't find this very difficult.  I think the thing for me is that while I like having lots of watches and there are always more I'd like to own, I also like the idea of a watch that's been with you.  Like you can look at a particular watch and think "that's the watch I was wearing when..."  So if you're always swapping watches, what history do you really have with any of them?  Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else feels that way.  Obviously, we're all watch maniacs with more timepieces than we could ever need, but that said, does anybody else think of their watches as getting better the more stuff you do with them?

And in that spirit, a very short list of things my watch and I have done this week:

  1. Went to the tallest pentagonal building in the world
  2.  Accepted a new job
  3. Went to the largest pentagonal building in the world
  4. Met this guy

Cheers watch fam.

Indeed, history, significant moments, and shared experiences, always make a watch more precious and valuable to the owner. The time piece becomes priceless. Like you, since June 10, my #snkl41 and I:
1. Celebrated our nation's 124th Independence Day.
2. Had an enjoyable, and well-deserved R&R with my lady in a secluded resort.
3. Got lots of crunching work done this week, including today.
4. Encouraged my high school buddy to continue his watch collecting hobby in small, incremental ways, amidst his financial obligations, by sharing with him my daily #1wc photos.

Nope….the watch was chosen for me so it’s slightly difficult and the watch chosen is very hard to read time…BUT with the challenge as much shit I get for watch (all in good fun though) it gave me an idea to make the watch better and really represent it better than the original designers of the watch… so let the modding commence!! 😆

Glad you had an eventful week, I wonder what week 2 will bring.

I’ve only modded one watch, but I love the idea and I’m sure I’ll get around to doing others.
